For those of you not up on your NCAA women's basketball players, Allyssa DeHaan plays for Michigan State and is 6'9". Several people have told me that when they see her play she reminds them of me. We're both tall, thin, dark-haired centers.
I attended Saturday's semifinal games at Conseco Fieldhouse and watched Iowa defeat Michigan State. During one of the timeouts, a promotion for the Big Ten's "Big Life. Big Stage. Big Ten." tagline played on the big screen featureing Allyssa. She talked about being one of the NCAA's top shot blockers and that she loved being tall. "Short is cute. Tall is beautiful." I should have a bumper sticker made! :-)
