This past Saturday I attended a Butler women's basketball game against Cleveland State. It was one of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's "Think Pink" games to bring awareness to breast cancer. Butler's team wore pink uniforms and shoes. The coaches wore pink shoes too. A former co-worker of mine, Seph, is an assistant coach for Butler and rounded out his attire with a pink shirt and tie.
Several other co-workers met me at the game. Jen and I participated in a halftime event that is supposed to be on YouTube - we all put on pink rubber gloves, stood on the playing floor and stood in the shape of a pink ribbon. I haven't looked for it yet to see what it looks like. It was a close game and Butler trailed, but they came through in the end for a win. They were second in the Horizon League before the win, so are having a good season.
